I also remember you guys doing vaguely heroic things in Season One of your podcast. I definitely don’t get that feeling anymore, although I do still love how whole-heartedly and unquestioningly you have seized on the reason to destroy an entire planet for someone who is definitely probably maybe working for the good of the Imperium.
Also you normally only roll Psychic Phenomena if any of the power dice show a 9, not a 9 or greater. However it’s hard to complain because the end result was something so role-playingly perfect that it clearly worked out for the best. I think that (assuming any of you survive that totally non-ominous vision) you should re-work yourselves as Latent Psykers, where you would each get to do your one little trick for free as much as you want, but you also have access to random major powers that you can also use for free, but they ALWAYS generate psychic phenomena.
This would have the benefit of
a) Giving you the excuse to just go around and gleefully whenever you want use your powers on everyone you see.
b) Give you access to some random powers that could be suited for an adventure and continue your not-so-gradual slide into radicalism and madness
c) Completely and certainly lead to death because that’s what psyker powers do!
Oh that’s actually a great idea, we haven’t totally decided what’s going to happen with season 3 yet, but that’s a really interesting idea. Since the way we’re playing is partly performative in its nature as a podcast, it’s good to allow for as many crazy things to happen as possible.
Stuff to think on! Thanks, Jake!
